Procida
Procida is the smallest and oldest island in the Bay of Naples.
The island, still today seems like an island to discover, fascinating for its quiet streets, the vivid colours of the ancient buildings and the villages clinging to the rocks above the little ports.
The brightly coloured houses that face the sea are the first images that welcome the visitor. This fishing village is dominated by the Castle that sits on the top of a sheer cliff overlooking the sea, on the inside of the highest part of the island, Terra Murata, heart of the island. This unusual quarter-city, that encloses medieval houses with courtyards and gardens, churches, buildings and a castle, has remained more or less intact for three hundred years.Procida is about 3 miles away from Ischia, 7 from Pozzuoli with its Flegrean coast and 10 from Naples to which it is connected daily by ferries and hydrofoils.How to reach Procida:
-from Naples: You can choose to go by ferry from Calata Porta di Massa or by hydrofoil from the commercial port of Molo Beverello or from Mergellina, a splendid tourist port reserved exclusively for hydrofoils.

Cumae: an ancient Greek colony
Cumae is an ancient Greek colony. Among the numerous testimonies of the past, you can admire the grandiose "Tempio di Giove", going back to the Hellenistic age of the III century.
How to reach Cumae:
-by car
Take the Tangenziale di Napoli and stay on this road until you reach the exit for Cuma. The take the SS7 Quarter.
-by train
The recommended station is Napoli Centrale (Piazza Garibaldi). From there, you need to change train in order to reach Pozzuoli-Solfatara. This is possible thanks to the subway (line 2 www.metro.na.it). At the Pozzuoli-Solfatara station you will find a Sita bus that will go to Cumae.
-by bus
SEPSA (www.sepsa.it ): Napoli-Pozzuoli-Cuma line. Departures from the Central Railway Station in Piazza Garibaldi.
Naples: the Vesuvius
The Vesuvius ranks among the most explored and well known volcanoes on earth.
It is certainly the symbol and the main feature in the Neapolitan landscape, and it is one of the smallest active volcanoes in the world (1277 mt high).
The area around Vesuvius is a national park. The summit of Vesuvius is open to visitors and access is on foot only. There is a small network of paths around the mountain from the road to the crater.
You can reach the Vesuvius:
by car
-from Naples take the motorway A3 Naples-Salerno and stay on this road until you reach the exit Torre del Greco or Ercolano;
by train
-take the Circumvesuviana trains (www.vesuviana.it) from Piazza Garibaldi railway station, Naples-Sorrento line, stop in Ercolano. In the place of the station start the buses leading to the beginning of the climb to the crater of Vesuvius.
Moreover you can reach the top of Vesuvius with a Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento to Pompeii. You can get off at Pompeii station. Then you can get the bus in the "Porta Marina Inferiore" Square, near the Pompeii Information Tourist Office.
